This is the headrest frame for the Cessna 172 and 182 front and rear seats from 1974 through 1986.

The problem with the frames from cessna is the backplate is made of plastic that gets brittle after time.  The backplate for this frame is made of laser-cut aluminum to the exact sizing that the plastic ones are.  Same size and thickness with none of the brittleness.

Don't spend the time, money, and downtime to reupholster your Cessna and not replace the flimsy backplates.

This is the index number 99A, and does not include the cushion and cover that is index number 99B.

This is a remanufactured part built to the same specs as Cessna's Original.  It fits in place of Cessna Part Number 1215073-11.

This will also fit into the seat for 1973 - 1974 but is listed under part number 0514048-1.

6.0" center to center. 3/8" seamless tubing. (It's actually a bit more than 6.0" because Cessna flares the bottom about 1/8" for the friction hold of the frame.)

It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the part will fit into their application.  I will answer questions to the best of my abilities.

The fact is that the frame will fit into the seat openings of virtually all Cessnas from 1963 - 2000.  It is at the buyers discretion if they wish to put this part into anything other than the intended application.  The buyer takes full responsibility and liability for the installation of this part.

I sell these frames bare because it is impossible for me to match your specific interior.  Age, use, and fade make each interior slightly different, and you don't want to spend your money on something that doesn't look right. This way you can either take off your cover and put it on this frame, or have an upholsterer make you an exact match.
