Continental E-185-3, S/N 5525-D-9-3, 205hp engine for sale, FWF (firewall forward) minus propeller off a Ryan Navion.
NO DAMAGE HISTORY. Engine was acquired by previous owner for the propeller and placed the engine into storage. I purchased it as a spare engine for my Navion, but recently sold my aircraft and no longer have a need for it .
Complete logbooks available. 457.4 SMO (since major overhaul), 178 SCTOH (chrome cylinder top overhaul). Turnkey engine with all accessories: Bendix magnetos/ignition harness/spark plugs, Bendix Stromberg PS-5C pressure carburetor, Delco Remy generator and generator regulator, Eclipse E-80 starter, oil cooler w/ flame resistant covered oil line, hydraulic pump, variable control propeller assembly, dip stick, Ryan Navion baffling (like new condition), exhaust stacks, and engine mounts!
Note: Continental's E-series engines are dry sump type; the oil sump can be relocated to suit your particular certified aircraft needs (verified by Teledyne Continental tech support). This engine is perfect for your certified aircraft, experimental aircraft, or even airboat application. Electronic manuals available.
Shipping is not included. The engine is already crated and ready for transport. I am willing to assist in setting up freight forwarding (from zip code 33462 - estimate 450 lbs with accessories and crating and dimensions of 50" x 50" x50"). Also I can offer to drop off at the closest freight terminal within 15-20 miles from my location to save you addition costs for pickup.
