As of the relist on 10/8, I have 2 left - that's the end of our inventory - both have been OPENED for viewing and pictures. The box is NOT sealed (see the last picture) but it is complete, with all parts and paperwork, as pictured on the listing.
I am offering a New Oil Filter Assembly for the Continental C125, C145 and the
O-300. This is a Model C-3001. The kit includes the paperwork from 1992,
Adapter Body, Champion Oil Filter (CH48108), and 2 Copper Crush Rings. Of course there is the paperwork for the STC. Full disclosure, the newspaper, used for packing, inside the one I opened for pictures, is dated 1998.
These came
from the El Reno Aviation Auction sold over the past few years. The
manufacturer is warning not to use them. El Reno did purchase these and then resold them. We, along with others, were given the opportunity to buy them -- it seems like free enterprise to me! There are no AD's for their use. There is no date
of expiration anywhere on the adapter bodies or oil filters. I looked at one kit very carefully and could not find any dates. If I missed them, I stand corrected. The paperwork is dated but that could be when it was published - however, I do believe they are 1998, and some perhaps later - but just a guess. I would replace the
oil filter, for a few dollars, why not? Still, how do you know how old that
new oil filter you buy from your FBO is, if there is no date on in whatsoever?
