New images to come!

All the planes flying the skies during WWI and the 20s featured wood  -propellers. Mounted on the shaft of huge six to twelve cylinder engines, the  engine was started up by giving the propeller a solid swing. Early wood  propellers are often the only artifacts saved from old aircraft, and antique  ones are rare and costly. This gorgeous reproduction is crafted out of solid  wood and the hardware from the original propellers has been carefully reproduced  in brass and antiqued. At almost 29" in length, it makes beautiful wall  décor at a surprisingly affordable cost.

Wood propellers are still with us and are in wide use. This propeller was  manufactured for use with the RQ-7 Shadow 200 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) but  rejected as unairworthy. Rather than discarding such a beautiful piece, they are  made available to the public as a beautiful remnant of aviation.

All Sensenich wood aircraft propellers are manufactured from aircraft grade  Birch and laminated using resorcinal glue. Each propeller is CNC machined and  hand-finished to very tight tolerances. Each propeller then goes through a  rigid 56 point inspection to assure you of the highest quality, most problem  free propeller available. The only difference between the original propeller and  this product is the hub is modified from the original design to accommodate a  quartz clock.

The RQ-7 Shadow 200 UAV is a high-wing, constant  chord pusher configuration with a twin-tailboom empennage and an inverted v-tail  elerudder. It's in use by the US Army and Marine Corps as a forward  reconnaissance tool. The RQ-7 Shadow is the result of a continued US Army  search for an effective battlefield UAV after the cancellation of the  RQ-6 aircraft. AAI Corporation followed up their RQ-2 Pioneer UAV with  the similar but refined Shadow 200, and in late 1999 the army selected the  Shadow 200 to fill the tactical UAV requirement, redesignating it the RQ-7. The  army requirement specified a UAV that used a gasoline engine, could carry an  electro-optic/infrared imaging sensor turret, and had a minimum range of 31  miles with four hour endurance on station. The Shadow 200 offered at least twice  that range, powered by a 38 hp rotary engine. The army requirement dictated that  it be able to land in an athletic field. Numerous videos are available online  and more than a few RC modelers chose the design for their own projects.
