READ THIS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO PURCHASE! MEASURE YOUR OLD GASKETS FIRST AND ENSURE THAT THESE ARE THE CORRECT GASKETS FOR YOUR APPLICATION.
This is a new pair of fuel cap gaskets. This is the older style (part #66815-00) used on early Cherokees. The outside diameter is 3" and the inside diameter of the hole is 1-1/4". The thickness is .125". (Piper has since changed the gas cap and subsequently the gasket.) Piper no longer sells this older style gasket. Their alternative is to replace the entire gas cap which runs around $350 each, or $700 for the pair.
If you go to any number of retail sites and buy a gasket with this part number, the dimensions (including thickness) will be different than the dimensions I provided above for the gaskets being sold here. Look at the gas cap (66817-00) in the attached pictures. Your gas caps should look similar to this if you are using this gasket. This is a cap off a Piper Cherokee with the gasket for sale in this listing installed.
I do not have any paperwork regarding these gaskets. These are not manufactured by Piper. These can be used on your application as an owner approved part.
