Carwil Airpath type 61 Bubble face aviation Compass. Great shape but probably needs overhaul. glass lens in great shape without nicks. Card spins freely but leans a little. Full of fluid, without leaks. If your going to win at Oshkosh or Sun and Fun, you need one of these in your Piper Cub, Aeronca Champ, Chief, taylorcraft, Ercoupe, Stinson , Cessna, Beechcraft, Mooney, Fleet, TravelAir, Stearman, Waco or Funk. This compass was the standard in the 1946 post war light aircraft boom era. They are rare, very hard to find, and expensive. A perfect Christmas gift for an antique aircraft enthusiast.
