Bendix Dual Magneto - D4RN-3000 - Part 10-682555-14 Fits Some Lycoming, Others?

This is a Bendix D4RN-3000 dual magneto.

It was a storage unit auction find, and its age, history, time, and condition are unknown. 

Is it good for a core, for use as is, or to rebuild?  I do not know, and I make no guarantees of any sort.

I see the chip on one terminal of the distributor block, but no other issues are obvious to me.

It turns over smoothly and the impulse works.

I see that this magneto has a serial number as well as an overhauler's sticker on it, and from an internet search I see that this overhauler is still in business. Perhaps they have a record on file from when this mag was overhauled, what AD's were complied with at that time, etc.?
