"This plane was built by my father, Andrew Reid. It has been in a museum for the past 7 years, but was never hung. This is a fiberglass plane and was last flown 30 years ago and has been a show piece in a museum since. Needs a good inspection by the buyer before flying because all oil/fluids have been removed for years. It is already disassembled and ready for shipping. Small enough disassembled it could be put in a U-Haul. It is powered with a somewhat rare vintage 7 cylinder Warner Scrab 165 radial engine with an Aeromatic propeller 220/078 serial #4316."

"Here is the once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a most remarkable pristine flyable 1938 Boeing P-12-E exquisitely hand built 3/4 scale replica, as shown here with Andy Reid (RIP), the noted EAA home builder. Andy, a former Korean War Jet Fighter Trainer and later successful mechanical engineer and founding member of SSR Consulting Engineers based in Nashville, TN, is no longer with us, but his remarkable Boeing P-12-E replica is. It is currently on display/loan to the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, WI, where Andy had once flown it from his own airfield in Middle, TN in 1981. Previously this gorgeous historic replica biplane had been on display at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, (where Amelia Earhart's personal REO sedan was shown beside it). Andy's family is looking for a qualified aviation enthusiast new owner, possibly like you, who might find this remarkable biplane to be a perfect fit to hang or display privately or in a public exhibition of your choosing. We are including a photo taken of Andy Reid at the age of 12 in Athens, GA 1940 where he won first place in a model airplane building contest. Most interesting is that this is precisely the Army Air Corp legendary biplane that he would painstakingly build from scratch as a retired Air Force pilot, successful mechanical engineer, artisan, father of 4, friend, and inspiration to many."
