This is an original Piper manufactured part number 99624-00, which is described as "BRACKET ASSEMBLY - Compressor, upper" in the Piper parts manual, which lists it as being applicable to PA-28-140, PA-28-180, and PA-28R-200 aircraft models that are equipped with Air Conditioning. This auction is for the bracket only, and not the pulley or compressor that would normally be mounted onto it.
It was removed from an operational 1974 PA-28-140 aircraft during maintenance, since the rest of the air conditioning system had actually been removed long ago except for the engine-mounted brackets.
The bracket was recently painted partially with black Rustoleum paint; the unpainted portions of the bracket do not show any signs of rust.
