This is a WWII Military Aircraft Shoulder Harness Release Assembly that bolts to the rear of the pilot/co-pilot’s seat. It is spring loaded with a shaft and has a lock pin. I’m not sure which seats this assembly fits but if you are familiar with WWII Warbird seats, you will probably be familiar with it. If you pull on the short rod, it releases the inside spring loaded rod. The rod has a slot and bolt hole where the shoulder harness bolts to. I took one apart showing all of the internal parts. It has 2 brackets that bolt the unit to the back of the seat. It is in new surplus condition. The number on it is 91-53220. The one in the picture is representative of what you will receive.
