Wings of Hope flies Senecas in our MAT program (Medical Air Transport). The BoomBeam light system, which provides much brighter lighting than originally on the aircraft, was removed from one of our aircraft not because of failure, in fact it was working fine, but to replace it with something else. We have most of the parts, at least the critical ones, but are missing a few: one lamp is burned out and some studs and various attachment means are missing. We have installation instructions, including a parts list. Parts are available from LoPresti. The lamp runs about $300 with expected lifetime of 5000 hr and the other parts don’t cost that much. We don’t have maintenance instructions, but changing the bulb is pretty simple – the reflector assembly has three hex head bolts holding the lamp receptor in place.

This unit is still sold by LoPresti for about $3500. It is rated at 60W. It contains two lights, ballasts and associated wiring. Here is a list of the pieces with LoPresti part numbers, taken from installations instruction:
