THE 150 L IS THE FIRST MODEL WITH THE TUBULAR MAIN GEAR, WHICH REDUCED WEIGHT AND WIDENED THE TRACK FOR BETTER GROUND HANDLING.

THE DASH ON THESE LATER 150’S IS IN A MODERN “6 PACE CONFIGURATION, WITH MODERN FOLD FLAT SEATING, PADDED YOKES, LONGER DORSAL FIN FOR BETTER DIRECTIONAL STABILITY, AND A HOST OF IMPROVEMENTS OVER THE 150’S FROM THE 1960’S !

THIS AIRPLANE HAS VERY LOW TOTAL TIME OF ONLY 3810 SINCE NEW !!

WE HAVE ALL OF THE LOGBOOKS BACK TO BRAND NEW 4/1973 !!

THE MOST STRIKING FEATURE OF THIS PARTICULAR AIRPLANE IS THE NEW PAINT, APPLIED IN 2013, IN A MODERN “SWISH” SCHEME, WITH BRIGHT RED LOWER, BLACK AND SILVER SWISH STRIPES, AND A WHITE UPPER AND WINGS.

IT LOOKS EXCELLENT !!

INSIDE THE PLASTICS ARE PRETTY GOOD (NOT PERFECT) BUT THE CARPET NEEDS AN UPGRADE.

THE SEATS ARE MISS-MATCHED, BUT OF THE CORRECT FOLD-OVER TYPE, SO I PRESUME THEY WERE FLYING WITH SHEEPSKIN COVERS (WHICH WE DIDN’T GET, SO THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED HERE).

THE TRAYS ARE INCLUDED FOR A GPS, NAV-COM AND TRANSPONDER, BUT THE PANEL UNITS ARE NOT INCLUDED.

ALL OF THE FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS SHOWN ARE INCLUDED, AND ALL OF THE ENGINE INSTRUMENTS AND SWITCHGEAR ARE INSTALLED.

THIS VERY NICE AIRPLANE SUFFERED THE INDIGNITY OF A HARD NOSE LANDING, WHICH FOLDED THE TUBULAR ENGINE MOUNT (THE 150 HAS THE NOSE GEAR ATTACHED TO THE TUBULAR MOUNT, NOT DIRECTLY TO THE FIREWALL.)

THE NOSE GEAR ITSELF DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE DAMAGED, AND THE COMPLETE ASSEMBLY (UPPER AND LOWER CHROME TUBE, FORK, WHEEL AND SHIMMEY DAMPER) ARE INCLUDED.

WHEN THE TUBES OF THE ENGINE MOUNT FOLDED BACK, ONE OF THEM CREASED THE BUMP OUT WHERE THE CABIN HEAT VALVE GOES, AND ALSO BUT A SLIGHT DENT IN THE FIREWALL SKIN NEAR THAT AREA.

I HAVE INCLUDED A CLOSE-UP OF THE AREA IN ONE OF THE PHOTOS.  THE HEATER FRAME SIMPLY RIVITS ON, AND WE WILL SUPPLY ONE FROM OUR USED STOCK AT NO CHARGE TO THE BUYER.

THE DENT IN THE SKIN WILL NOT REQUIRE REPLACEMENT, AS THE FIREWALL STRUCTURE IS NOT COMPROMISED, SO EITHER THE DENT CAN BE MESSAGED OUT TO YOUR SATISFACTION, OR A LEGAL PATCH COULD BE PLACED OVER THAT SMALL AREA.

THERE IS NO GOOD REASON TO REPLACE THE FIREWALL, AND NO DAMAGE TO THE CABIN FLOOR, OR BOOTCOWL, OR BELLY SKINS !!

IN FACT, AS THE AIRPLANE DID NOT BOUNCE ON THE MAIN GEAR, THERE IS NO MAINGEAR DAMAGE, NOR DAMAGE TO THE WHEELS OR BRAKES.

THE GEARBOX, WHERE THE GEAR LEGS ATTACH IS NOT DAMAGED

THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE CABIN OR TAIL !!

THE DOORS FIT WELL, AND NO GLASS WAS BROKEN

THE WINGS ARE UNDAMAGED, AS ARE THE DROOPED WINGTIPS, THE FLASP AND AILERONS

THE TAIL FEATHERS AND TAIL ARE UNDAMAGED, WITH A TINY WRINKLE ON ONE ELEVATOR TRAILING EDGE, OBVIOUSLY PRE-EXISTING AND NOT REQUIRING ANY ATTENTION.

WE REMOVED THE WINGS PROPERLY FOR TRANSPORTATION, BY UNBOLTING RATHER THAN CUTTING THE CONTROL CABLES.

ALL OF THE FAIRINGS AND SHEET METAL ARE INCLUDED AND LOOK GOOD.

THE ONLY OTHER DAMAGE TO THE WHOLE AIRPLANE IS THE LOWER COWLING, WHERE THE SPAY SKIRT IS BENT (REPLACEABLE) AND ONE SIDE OF THE COWL HAS A FEW LIGHT RIPPLES (PROBIBLY CAN BE WORKED OUT, WITHOUT REPAINTING)

THE 0-200 ENGINE SUFFERED A PROP STRIKE AND WAS ALSO PROFESSIONALLY REMOVED, BUT THE ENGINE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING.

OF COURSE YOU COULD FIND A REPLACEMENT 0-200 AND BOLT IT ONTO A GOOD REPLACEMENT ENGINE MOUNT ( BOTH ARE PLENTIFUL IN THE USED MARKET), BUT AS THIS IS A FAR PRETTIER THAN NORMAL AIRPLANE, WITH LOW TOTAL TIME AND GOOD RECORDS, THIS WOULD ALSO BE A GREAT CANDIDATE FOR AN 0-320 LYCOMING CONVERSION !!

EITHER WAY, THIS IS AN ABOVE AVERAGE AIRPLANE, WITH LOWER THAN NORMAL TIME, LOGBOOKS SINCE DAY ONE, AND OF COURSE AN FAA BILL OF SALE.

THIS AIRPLANE HAS NOT BEEN SITTING, IN FACT IT IS STILL IN CALENDAR ANNUAL UNTIL THE END OF THIS MONTH !!
