Available for sale is a used working pair of (left and right) Cessna Sun Visors for a 1980 Cessna 172 N Model.
Cessna Part Number is: 0514163-1
Also included are the 2 shims and the attaching 4 bolts for both the left and right sides of the pilot and co-pilot seats. The plastic is in good working condition with no cracks or brittleness, and the bolts cinch up tightly to keep the visors from falling or drifting while in flight or taxiing down a runway.
- These visors attach from the middle of visor and not from the far left or far right ends.
- Make sure your visors are attached from the middle before purchasing. Make sure your plane uses the same part number as mentioned above. Cessna 172 models earlier than the 1980 N model 172 may not be a fit? These visors may also fit the 172 RG and possibly some Cardinal models.
- Also included are two pair of tinted plexiglass that are attached and extend down from the OEM visors to provide additional coverage from the sun. (See pics for a before and after using the visors in the plane).
- The additional tinted plexiglass are not Cessna OEM parts. They can be easily removed at any time.
- When the tinted plexiglass is attached, they fold forward and upward toward the headliner without any issues, and do not tend to fall or move in rough weather, taxiing, or landing.
- These OEM visors were removed to install the $600 3-axis Rosen visors.
